Daily Prompt: Being Descriptive!

Daily Prompt: Look out your back window or door — describe what you see, as if you were trying to convey the scene to someone from another country or planet.

Through the vast glass windows, the colour green sweeps away towards the bottom of the garden, beginning just after an oblong pond to the right where several flashes of fiery gold flicker beneath the ripples. A stone path starts at the last step and turns left then up, winding its way through a patterned arch and around the large rectangle of grass. The path curves to the right and transforms into a small patio, in the middle of which is a dark wooden table and four matching chairs seated around it. A black chiminea also stands in the corner, ready to be lit for summery nights spent in the garden. To the left of the patio, a thin bark path leads past various vegetable patches, a small wild garden and finally up to a rope swing which hangs from a looming Sycamore tree in the left hand corner. There is a gate in the fence beside the trunk, which leads into the woods behind the house. The trees tower over the garden, at the moment bare but just beginning to grow a few sprouts of green leaves – ready for spring.
