Daily Prompt: Being Helped!

Daily Prompt: When was the last time a stranger did something particularly kind, generous, or selfless for you? Tell us what happened!

Actually, yesterday my sister and I were helped by two people we had never met before! Even though they worked in the shops we were in, they definitely did not have to help us like they did. I now see customer service in a whole new light!

The first time, we went into the bookstore Waterstones and, after searching around for quite a while, asked the woman on the till if they had any books by this certain author we were looking for. She searched for us and told us that unfortunately they did not, but then she went on to Google herself to see why, (apparently his books had gone a bit obsolete after he died). After this, she noted down a few names of online book stores that might have what we were searching for – and all of this with one of the cheeriest attitudes I have ever seen by a shop assistant!

The second time we went into Pulp. As we walked through the door the alarm went off. The shop assistant in there came straight over to us and told us there must still be a tag left on a box set I had bought in HMV earlier, (the customer service there had not been great). Again, this woman had the brightest smile and told us that she would remove the tag for us to save us any hassle. I love customer service when it’s like this!

And, to top it all of, the bus driver let us travel for free because he was seven minutes late!
