Daily Prompt: A misused word, a misremembered song lyric, a cream pie that just happened to be there: tell us about a time you (or someone else) said or did something unintentionally funny.
This example could be seen as a bit mean but we were little and… I’ll just get to the point.
Back when I was in junior school, when I was about seven or eight years old, my friends and I were sitting on a table at lunchtime and it had got to the point when everyone was crying with laughter at something or another – you know, when you literally can’t stop laughing. There was this poor girl sitting at the end of the table looking at us like we were crazy. One of my friends picked up a chip off her plate and, in our frenzy of laughter, started waving it around, then threw it at a couple of us across the table. It landed right in this poor girl’s jelly. It was so comic that we laughed even more, in between apologising to the girl who stood up and walked to another table. I had never felt so bad before, but still couldn’t stop laughing. Finally we calmed down enough to actually go over to the girl and say sorry properly – and she took it incredibly well, (luckily for us anyway)!
