Daily Prompt: A lively group discussion, an intimate tête-à-tête, an inner monologue — in your view, when it comes to a good conversation, what’s the ideal number of people?
Three’s a good number in my opinion. Although I enjoy being with all my friends at one time, (which doesn’t usually happen), the conversation tends to get swallowed up along with everyone else’s and just a couple of us are able to get a word in edgeways – most of the time it isn’t me. With a three, there’s a chance for everyone! Even when standing up there is no awkward circle for people to get squashed out of and the distance between everyone is just perfect – not too far away.
I’ll tell you what I really hate – when you’re in the middle of telling an thrilling story and someone interrupts you. Grr.
