Daily Prompt: Being Friends!

Daily Prompt: If you had to come up with one question, the answer to which would determine whether or not you could be friends with a person you’ve just met, what would it be? What would the right answer be?

Determining whether someone is worthy of being your friend with just one question is a little silly – I hope they are truthful when answering! Friends need to be loyal, honest, supportive, not two-faced and so much more…

So, do you consider yourself to be the true definition of a friend?

The answer, of course, would be yes!

Daily Prompt: Being BFFs!

Daily Prompt: Do you — or did you ever — have a Best Friend? Do you believe in the idea of one person whose friendship matters the most? Tell us a story about your BFF (or lack thereof).

I think for a lot of people, (me included), your best friend is the person you have known for the longest – in my case, I have known her since we were both born a day apart in hospital. The thing is, as we grew older and went to different schools, I think we’ve both met so many new people along the way that we could call them our best friends as well. Don’t get me wrong, I still love her, but there’s a few more people I know now that I could happily call my best friends and I see them a lot more often. I don’t think we should be expected to have just one BFF!

Daily Prompt: Being Best Friends!

Daily Prompt: Tell us the origin story of your best friend. How did you become friends? What is it that keeps your friendship rockin’ after all these years?

We met in hospital – when we were born. Our mums were in the same ward and I was born a day before my friend. After that our mums met up regularly as we lived in the same area on virtually the same road! We grew up playing together and started school on the same day, and were in the same class for all but one of our infant school years. We often got into trouble because we were sometimes quite lively and the teachers knew us because of this and the fact that we were inseparable, but sometimes my friend could be very possessive over me and wouldn’t let me play with anyone but her. When we were seven she moved to an all girls school and at first I was quite lonely at the junior school, because I obviously hadn’t been allowed to play with anyone else! But I made friends in the end and my ‘bestie’, (how cheesy is that?), and I still met up a lot. Unfortunately, we don’t meet up as often now but when we do we have a fab time! I just wish sometimes that she wouldn’t be so annoying…
